BASS TOURNAMENTS

For many years, the City of Plattsburgh has been home to the largest professional bass fishing tournaments in the world. In the last three years, there have been world-record weights when it comes to the catch. Lake Champlain is known across the globe as the number one location for bass fishing.

BLUEGRASS FESTIVAL

Held at the Clinton County Fair Ground, this funky annual festival is held every year in August. The music festival offers a wide variety of bands to enjoy. Spectators can buy a daily admission pass or can camp out for the weekend for a fee.

CLINTON COUNTY FAIR

Held in July, the annual Clinton County Fair is the perfect place to take the family for the day or enjoy some time with friends. Bustling with live music, high-flying thrills, hypnotist shows, performers, games, and entertainment, this is a fair not to be missed!

PLATTSBURGH HALF MARATHON

Held annually in the city of Plattsburgh, this marathon is an exciting event for all ages. Cheer and watch the runners pass the finish line! There is a post-party that non-runners can attend for $5, which includes food, drinks, an auction, and admission. All proceeds go to Team Fox for Parkinson’s Research.

MAYOR’S CUP & REGATTA

The Mayor’s Cup & Regatta is a popular event held every summer on Lake Champlain. This four-day celebration includes the Annual Regatta, Boat Parade of Lights, a post-race BBQ, live music, family activities, and an Awards Ceremony. Later in the evening, enjoy the colorful display of fireworks that light up in the sky!

BATTLE OF PLATTSBURGH

Browse through numerous displays of artifacts, and educate the entire family about this war that went down in history. There are exhibits, a picnic area, and the Press-Republican Theatre.

DISCOVER MAPLE WEEKENDS

The members of the New York State Maple Producers Association hold this event every spring. Families and friends visit the association’s “sugar houses” where they can taste delicious pure New York maple syrup across 160 of New York State’s museums and farms.
